Fast-Track Programs

Save Time and Money

For most undergraduates, progression into the Fast Track programs will be at the end of their junior year (sixth semester).  In their senior year, undergraduates enroll in graduate coursework by taking two to four courses (6-12 credits) that are counted towards both their undergraduate and graduate degree, saving time and money.  Following the completion of their bachelor’s degree requirements, students continue with one full year of graduate study to fulfill the coursework requirements for their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree or Master of Science (M.S.) degree.

Fast-Track Master of Business Administration

This Tobin “Fast-Track” M.B.A. program is designed for qualified undergraduate students enrolled in a St. John’s University program leading to either a Bachelor of Arts degree or a Bachelor of Science degree with the following majors:

  • Business: accounting, actuarial science, business, economics, finance, management, marketing, or risk management and insurance.
  • Professional Studies: computer science cyber-security, information technology, or networking and telecommunications.
  • Liberal Arts and Sciences: Anthropology, Asian Studies, English, French, Spanish, Italian, History, Mathematical Physics, Physics, Psychology, or Sociology.

The Fast-Track M.B.A. initiates graduate-level coursework at the undergraduate level, providing qualified students with seamless entry into the M.B.A. program and an accelerated course of study.

Fast-Track Master of Science

The “Fast-Track” (M.S. degree program is designed for undergraduate students enrolled in a St. John’s University programs leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in the following majors:

  • Business. Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, or Risk Management and Insurance,
  • Professional Studies: Computer Science, Cyber-Security, Information Technology, or Networking And Telecommunications, or
  • Liberal Arts: Asian Studies.

The Fast-Track M.S. initiates graduate-level coursework at the undergraduate level, providing qualified students with seamless entry to the M.S. degree programs in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, Risk and Financial Advisory, Risk Management and Insurance, or Taxation and an accelerated course of study toward an advanced degree.

Progression Requirements

Undergraduates in the Fast-Track programs begin graduate coursework during their senior year of undergraduate study.  Undergraduates should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 to be enrolled in any graduate course.  Undergraduates with a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.24 would be conditionally accepted and required to earn a minimum grade of B in every graduate course to remain in the program.
