The University’s Office of Print and Distribution is the authorized central point of purchase for all print, copy and mail services available on-campus. Employees should consult Print and Distribution for all print, copy and mail needs. The office is focused on serving the business needs of its customers to achieve professional, high quality and cost effective products and services.
To ensure the continuity of the University's image and message, all publications to be distributed outside the University must be produced through or approved by the Office of Marketing and Communications, especially if they contain the SJU Logo. See policy #1025 for communications policy and procedures.
Print and Distribution’s business operations include front office services, print procurement, on-campus reproduction, variable data printing, mail handling, receiving, daily supply delivery, resident hall delivery, office copying, messenger service, off-campus warehousing, Xerox Business Services for the Manhattan and Staten Island campuses, and inter-campus messenger runs among Queens, Staten Island, and Manhattan. A messenger is sent to the Long Island Graduate Center on an as-needed basis. Departments are responsible for content, copyright and budget for processing. Unauthorized transactions are prohibited, and Print and Distribution reserves the right to refuse any job in possible violation of Copyright Law 17.
The office follows the University’s official business schedule, with the exception of Queens campus Print and Distribution, which extends its service one half-hour after the official close of University business.
