St. John's University partners with Corporate Counseling Associates (CCA) to offer free, confidential services and resources designed to help faculty, administrators and staff and their household or family members handle life’s challenges successfully – from routine concerns to major crises. Our EAP is a holistic life service with something for everyone—from traditional counseling for personal stress, to legal and financial consultation, to referrals related to caregiving, substance abuse, adoption services, and everyday needs.
The Work-Life programs at St. John’s University are designed to promote a supportive employee culture to help our employees succeed professionally and personally. From a comprehensive benefit program that is ranked among the best in our peer group, to a robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that provides employees and family members with service and support around the clock, to an extensive offering of health and wellness workshops and online seminars, St. John’s maintains a commitment to ensuring that employees can achieve a healthy work-life balance.
Professional consultants are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to offer support and resources, simply by calling the confidential helpline. Your call will always be answered by a licensed/certified mental health professional who will assess your needs, respond competently to emergency situations, and direct you promptly to the appropriate expert area(s). To meet with a counselor in person (locally or nationwide) call the helpline to schedule an appointment.
