Disclosure
Federal Regulations require all higher education institutions offering an academic program designed to meet the educational requirements for a professional license or certification or advertised as such, to provide students with certain information about whether completion of that program would meet licensure/certification requirements in the state of the student’s location upon enrollment.
In accordance with this regulation (U.S. Federal Regulation, §668.43) and in compliance with the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) Manual, St. John’s University provides the following disclosures related licensure or certification requirements for the following programs in states other than NY.
If you are from a state other than NY and will not seek employment in NY, please locate your program from the list below to determine if our program of study will meet or not meet the educational requirements for you to qualify to take any licensure or certification exam needed for employment in the occupation that the program prepares you for in your state. States may have additional ability requirements unrelated to educational requirements to qualify you for state licensure certification.
These disclosures do not provide any guarantee that any specific state will approve or deny an individual’s application for licensure or certification. Additionally, it is important to note that these disclosures are unable to account for changes in state law and regulations that may impact an individual’s application for licensure or certification that occur after the disclosure is viewed.
All students are encouraged to routinely review and monitor licensing and certification requirements for the state where they intend to work/practice.
Disclosure Information
All international students and students planning to live and work outside the United States should confirm with the appropriate licensing/certifying agency whether completion of any St. John’s University degree program will meet the licensing or credential requirements of the country in which they intend to live and work.
