Stacey Singer Leshinsky MS Ed, PA-C

Prof. Leshinsky graduated in 2002 from the St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center Physician Assistant program, which is now the St. John’s University Physician Assistant program. In 2009, she earned a Master of Science degree in Postsecondary Education. 

She has been clinically practicing as a Physician Assistant since 2002 in the areas of emergency medicine, pediatric urgent care, and most recently, inpatient cardiology and medicine in the Northwell Health system. 

Prof. Leshinsky has been involved in Physician Assistant education for more than 20 years, and is a former New York City paramedic. She continues to be an active member of the New York City Medical Reserve Corp as both a Paramedic and Physician Assistant. 

Prof. Leshinsky is passionate about emergency medicine and cardiology. Her research interests are in simulation learning. She is a current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and Instructor for New York State Department of Health Infection Control. 

Prof. Leshinsky enjoys her role as a Physician Assistant Clinical Preceptor, and teaching through simulation. She also enjoys engaging in community service and educating others on the roles and responsibilities of the Physician Assistant profession. Her current academic role is Academic Coordinator and tenured faculty for the Didactic Year 2 phase of the Physician Assistant Education program. She assists in the third year with clinical students.
