Programs for International Students and Visitors
The Office of International Education's (OIE) Inbound Programs division exemplifies St. John’s University's commitment to international education, ethical values, equity, and responsible global citizenship.
Our primary goal is to help students develop academic, language, and professional skills to ensure success at St. John’s and beyond. While helping them gain these skills, we provide learners with opportunities for critical examination of identity, race, ethnicity, culture, policies, and societal structures.
To achieve academically and feel empowered to develop their critical awareness as people, students must feel safe, respected, and valued. Our programs seek to create that sense of belonging and security founded on the understanding that education in the United States presents both unique challenges and opportunities. It is with that knowledge and a commitment to equity that we work to ensure access to and support across all campus systems throughout students’ academic careers.
