Graduation Announcements
Personalized St. John's University graduation announcements are available for purchase online from Herff Jones up until June 28, 2024.
Tassels
Graduates receive a standard plain black tassel with their academic attire.
Commemorative red and white specialty tassels are available for purchase online directly from Herff Jones for $7 - $9.
International Stoles
International stoles represent the country and academic accomplishments of a student who has studied abroad or an international student studying in the United States. Individual students can wear a stole at Commencement to show pride in their accomplishment.
If you studied abroad and/or are an international student studying here in the United States, you will be eligible to purchase an international stole at Herff Jones for $40.
Please note that if you have studied abroad in more than one country, you may only select one international stole to wear at Commencement.

Stole of Gratitude
The stole of gratitude can be worn during the Commencement Exercises.
After the ceremony, traditionally the new graduate presents the stole of gratitude to someone who has provided extraordinary help or support, someone who has provided them with wisdom, guidance, and words of support or with financial assistance.
The stole of gratitude is available for purchase online for $40 directly from Herff Jones.
First Generation Stole
The first generation stole can be worn during the Commencement Exercises.
Graduates who are the first in their families to graduate college can purchase the first generation stole online for $40 directly from Herff Jones.
Class Rings
Show your St. John's pride with a class ring. A variety of styles are available.
Diploma Frames
Diploma frames are available for purchase through the Bookstore.
Graduation Lawn Sign
Celebrate with the world and show everyone how proud you are of your 2024 graduation all summer long with this 2024 Graduation Yard Sign. 15'' tall and 15'' wide. UV printed and made of fluted plastic allowing for all-weather outdoor use. Includes metal stakes for in-ground application. Works great as wall signs too for Grads living in Condos or Apartments.
Diploma Case
The diploma case is a custom red leatherette case inscribed with “St. John’s University” and the University seal in gold. The case is horizontal and includes a protective clear cover to prevent damage to your diploma.
