Prof. Castellino joins the faculty of St. John’s University as an Assistant Professor/Industry Professional in the Department of Clinical Health Professions. He is a board-certified nurse practitioner in adult health.

Prof. Castellino earned his Master of Science degree in Advanced Practice Nursing with scholastic honors. He holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Seton Hall University and a B.S. in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy University. Prof. Castellino has received certificates in both Executive Healthcare Leadership and Healthcare Change Management from Cornell University. He is currently a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Prof. Castellino has diverse field experience in nursing, including medical-surgical, oncology, emergency, intensive care unit, psychiatric, and postoperative care. He held the position of Teaching and Research Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care unit at Stony Brook University Hospital. He is certified by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine in PRP injection, pain management, noninvasive facial aesthetics, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. His current research interests include trigger point injection therapy and exosome use in PRP joint injection. 

Prior to joining St. John’s University, Prof. Castellino held the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing and Health Sciences at Manhattanville College.
