Lauren Anderson ’13Pharm.D., BCACP, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University in 2013 and completed her PGY-1 Residency with emphasis in Ambulatory Care at the University of Minnesota in 2014.
For more than a decade, Dr. Anderson has been dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to underserved communities facing access challenges. She was a pharmacist at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Saint Paul, MN. Her current practice interests include primary care, substance use disorders, nephrology, and pulmonology.
Recently, Dr. Anderson worked as a lecturer at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and served as adjunct faculty at Saint Catherine University in the Physician Assistant and Nursing departments. She is passionate about mentoring future health-care providers, emphasizing pharmacotherapy knowledge, and fostering inclusive learning environments through innovative methods like Team-Based Learning (TBL). Her research interests include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, specifically focusing on TBL, inclusive teaching practices, and the use of educational games to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
