The Center for Student Success advises all SJU students in their first year. The Center’s dedicated team of advisors work to initiate and maintain ongoing relationships with students, helping you achieve success at St. John’s both in and outside the classroom.
Continuing Students (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors) with Declared Majors
If you are a continuing student with a declared major in St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, you’ll receive advisement for classes from faculty members in the department for your major. You can find a list of College majors, with links to their requirements and department contacts, here.
Undeclared Sophomores
The Dean’s office of St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences advises second-year students who have yet to declare a major. If you wish to make an appointment, please use the Appointment Scheduler.
Transfer Students
Newly-accepted transfer students receive assistance with registration from Transfer Student Services, which provides guidance during the transition to SJU. If you have questions about the applicability of transfer credits, however, please make an appointment using the Appointment Scheduler.
Readmitted Students
If your readmission application back into SJU has been approved, you should make an appointment with a faculty advisor or the chair of the department for your major.
