Daniel Alejandro Restrepo, Ph.D., comes to St. John’s University as an assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy. Dr. Restrepo has a Ph.D. and an M.A. from New School for Social Research, and a B.A. from Florida Atlantic University. He has been teaching philosophy for seven years, mostly courses in ethics. While his dissertation work was on ancient philosophy, Plato in particular, his research interests have since changed. Dr. Restrepo is currently researching particular questions of social justice related to race, discrimination, and global poverty.
