Dr. Park joined the faculty in 2017 as an Assistant Professor of the Division of Administration and Economics for the College of Professional Studies at St. John’s University.

His research interests include customer experience management and marketing in hospitality and tourism, social media analytics, quality of life, and tourism for disabled travelers. Dr. Park’s research papers have been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Sport Management Review, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, Urban Design International, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Event Management, Journal of Tourism Sciences, Journal of Tourism Studies and so on.

Dr. Park’s teaching interests are tourism and event marketing, hospitality service management, social media analytics, hotel and casino operation, and human resource management. He worked at several tourism research institutes, a newspaper company, and Sheraton Hotel. He had participated in many projects as a researcher to investigate customer perceptions and evaluations of events and tourism attractions, establish hospitality marketing strategies, develop medical tourism, and promote tourism for disabled travelers.

He earned his Ph.D. in Hospitality and Dietetics Administration from Kansas State University and both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Tourism Science from Hanyang University in South Korea.
