- Nissa T. Mazzola, Pharm.D.
Dr. Mazzola is a Clinical Pharmacist working at North Shore University Hospital Division of General Internal Medicine. She helps to improve the quality of patient care by helping patients get the maximum benefit from their drug therapy. Her multiple responsibilities include offering drug information and recommendations to the physicians regarding anticoagulation, pain management and diabetes, providing immunizations, as well as comprehensive education to patients. She is also among the select pharmacists who hold the credential of Certified Diabetes Educator, a highly regarded, nationally recognized certification.
Research Interests
Diabetes management and education, medication adherence, pain management.
