Professor John J. Lynch is a retired Deloitte & Touche Partner. While at Deloitte, he served as the lead Partner on numerous financial services clients. He was also a Professional Practice Director responsible for technical consultations and quality control for a major portion of Deloitte's northeast financial services practice. Professor Lynch is the past Chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Stockbrokerage and Investment Banking Committee which published the Audit and Accounting Guide for Broker Dealers and a past member of the AICPA's Accounting Standards Executive Committee's Financial Instruments Task Force. He also was the principal author of the chapter on the Securities Industry contained in a leading Audit textbook. Professor Lynch currently serves as a consultant to attorneys in audit-related litigation. Professor Lynch lives in Ridgewood, N.J. with his wife, Stephanie. They have two sons – John and Julian.
