Dr. Harry L. Nagel received a B.S. in Mathematics from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, Summa Cum Laude where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi, and an M.S.in Operations Research and a Ph.D. from New York University, School of Engineering and Science. His areas of research are in the fields of Optimization, Statistics, Computer Information Systems and Decision Sciences, and he has published many articles and co-authored a popular textbook.

He worked as a Management Science Analyst at Stauffer Chemical Co. before coming to St. John’s University, where he is currently Professor of Computer Information Systems and Decision Sciences.
