David Byrne

Assistant Professor
Dr. David S. Byrne is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Homeland Security at St. John’s University, specializing in Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Studies, and is the SJU Faculty Advisor for the Homeland Security Student Association. Dr. Byrne’s career spanned nearly a decade and a half in Law Enforcement Intelligence, focusing on violent transnational organized crime and homeland security investigations. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Science (with a specialization in Criminal Justice Technologies) and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, both from LIU Post, NY, and a second Master's in Library Science from St. John’s University, NY.
