Courtney N. McKay, Ph.D.

Courtney McKay comes to St. John’s University as an assistant clinical professor/industry professional with the Department of Clinical Health Professions. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She then went on to complete a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL, and a PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. McKay currently provides clinical pharmacy services for the Trauma/Surgery Intensive Care Unit at Bellevue Hospital Center, where she also precepts pharmacy students on APPE rotations. She serves on several hospital committees and is actively involved in guideline development and research. Her areas of interest include emergency medicine, toxicology, antibiotic stewardship, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and anticoagulation.
