Claudia Sbrissa

M.F.A., Cornell University, NY.E.d., Queens University

Claudia Sbrissa teaches undergraduate courses in fine arts including book arts, drawing and printmaking. Sbrissa’s studio practice is informed by issues of identity and culture, and by her engagement with materials. Her installations, sculptures and works on paper explore the connection between image, material and space. Sbrissa’s works explore histories in the form of landscapes, architecture, and urban fabrics. Her work is engaged with notions of renewal and regeneration, and the relationship between utopian impulses and abstraction.
