Vittoria is in her last semester of coursework in the doctoral program in English at St. John’s University. As a doctoral fellow, she teaches a First-Year Writing course for the Institute for Writing Studies. Vittoria is interested in the intersection between literature and composition. In particular, she is fascinated by expressivist modern and contemporary literature, and the way this literature can serve as a model for students in the first year writing classroom. Vittoria enjoys exploring questions in literature and writing that develop out of elements of critical theory such as identity politics, aesthetics, and more.
