Dr. Seokhee Cho, Ph.D. Professor, has been working as a faculty member at the School of Education, Director of the Center for Creativity and Gifted Education, St. John’s University since 2007.

She has received four Javits Grants: Project HOPE ($50K) in 2009-2014, Project TEAMS (Twice Exceptional Students Achieving and Matriculating in STEM) as PI in New York in 2014-2019, Project BRIDGE ($1.9M) as PI in 2027-2022 and Project WINGS ($3.2M) as PI in 2022-2027. Her research is focused on developing academic competencies of young gifted English learners with or without disabilities by providing advanced and enriched mathematics program and language scaffolding.

She has written numerous books and articles on gifted education and creative problem solving. She has been the Director of National Research Center on Gifted Education in Korea in 1986-2005, and a member of the Korean Presidential Advisory Council for Educational Innovation in 2005-6.

She is also serving as the Review Board Member of the Gifted Child Quarterly and editorial board member of Gifted Education International, the Journal of Gifted/Talented Education, and the Turkish Journal of Giftedness and Education.
