Lisa Hochstein MLS(ASCP)CM ’73M.S. joined St. John’s University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor and Industry Professional in 2008. She came to the University following a distinguished hospital career as a Clinical Microbiologist at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, Mary Immaculate Hospital.
Prior to her retirement from St. John’s in 2022, she served as the University’s Program Director of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program, providing leadership and oversight to the department. She continues to contribute to the program as an Adjunct Associate Professor, teaching in her area of specialization: clinical microbiology. Her academic interests include antibiotic resistance mechanisms and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
