Dr. K. Matthew Wong is Professor of Finance and Director of MBA Programs at the Tobin College of Business and has been a member of St. John's faculty since 1989. Under his directorship, the onsite part-time MBA program's ranking at the USNews has risen from 182 in 2018 to 68 in 2023. He has also published articles on topics such as common stock performance and inflation, asset allocation strategies for retirement contributions, swap pricing anomalies, and securities regulation in China. In addition to having a Ph.D in finance and the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Dr. Wong is an attorney and has previously practiced at two major international law firms in New York City specializing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, high yield financing and structured finance, including securitization. He is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law in New York, where he received the CJS Award in Contracts and was an Associate Editor of the Fordham Law Review. He currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Finance Issues and the International Journal of Trade, Economics and Finance. Previously, he was also an associate editor for the ISM Journal of international Business. In addition, he is the Managing Editor of the Journal of Emerging Markets. Between 2009 and 2013, Dr. Wong was a member of the Board of Advisors for LifeWatch, Inc. a Swiss telemedicine company.
