Joseph G. Kenny, Esq.

Associate Professor
Joseph Kenny is Associate Professor of Business Law & Prelaw Advisor at the Collins College of Professional Studies, Staten Island Campus. He has been a faculty member at St. John’s since 1989. He teaches Business Law and law-related courses in the Division of Administration & Economics. He serves as a member of the St. John’s University Prelaw Advisory Committee. He is an active member of the Northeast Association of Prelaw Advisors, Academy of Legal Studies in Business, Brooklyn Bar Association and is past president of the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Kings County. He is admitted to practice before the courts of the States of New York and Pennsylvania and admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is a practicing attorney focusing on estate planning & administration and representing non-profit agencies in service to the developmentally disabled. His research interests are in the areas of law school admissions and in entrepreneurship. Professor Kenny has been awarded the St. John’s University Outstanding Faculty Achievement Medal, the Student Government Professor of the Year Award and the Office of Development Outstanding Alumnus Award.
