Her research focuses on the politics of school choice, the implications of marketization and privatization for school leaders, and the role of public-private partnerships in public education. Her scholarship has appeared in journals including the American Journal of Education and Educational Policy. She is also the author of Selling School: The Marketing of Public Education, published by Teachers College Press.
Dr. DiMartino has served as Division L Program Chair for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and on the Presidential Planning Committee for the 2025 AERA Annual Conference. She also serves on her local school board, bringing her scholarly expertise in educational leadership and policy to public service.
