Anne M. Galvin teaches and does research in anthropology of globalization, colonialism; popular culture studies; anthropology of the state; citizenship; political economy; the Caribbean; the African Diaspora; the United States; history of anthropology, theory and methods. She has been the Series Editor of the Northeastern Anthropological Association Bulletin since 2001, published several articles and authored Sound of the Citizens: Dancehall and Community in Jamaica in 2014, with Vanderbilt University Press.
