Regina M. Mistretta, Ed.D. is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at St. John’s University’s School of Education. She has over three decades of professional experience, inclusive of teaching at elementary, middle, and high school levels and institutions of higher education.

Mathematics Education, Teacher Preparation, and Family Engagement are Regina’s primary teaching, research, and service areas. Her three authored books exemplify her efforts to help bridge home and school learning environments. Over 30 national and international publications represent her contributions to the field of mathematics teaching and learning.

Regina also enjoys presenting at conferences and providing professional development designed for teachers and teacher leaders to learn with and from each other collectively. Her collaborative work with Pre-K through Grade 12 school communities encompasses teachers, administrators, children, and families in the five boroughs of the metropolitan area of New York and on Long Island.
