Giles W. Casaleggio, Esq.

Giles Wayne Casaleggio is an associate professor of Criminal Justice at Saint John's University, College of Professional Studies. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1972. He attended The University of Tennessee Law School and received his Juris Doctorate from Saint John's University in 1972. He was admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and before The United States Supreme Court. He began his legal career in 1972 as a law clerk in the United States Attorney”s Office for the Southern District of New York. From 1973 to 1985, He served as assistant prosecutor in Union County, New Jersey and Chief Assistant Prosecutor in Passaic and Morris Counties where he specialized in the investigation of organized crime and supervised their narcotics task forces. He received specialized training in electronic surveillance investigation at the Cornell University Institute on Organized Crime and was designated as an instructor for The New Jersey Police Training Commission. In 1985, He was appointed to the position of New Jersey Deputy Attorney General and assigned to investigate cases of political corruption and organized crime. He later co-authored the Attorney General’s State Narcotics Action Plan and was designated as supervisor of Northern New Jersey operations of The State Police Narcotic Unit. In 1988, He entered local politics in New Jersey and was elected twice as mayor and councilman in Ringwood, New Jersey. He has published several articles in law enforcement periodicals and a book entitled “Management Methods From The Mafia” in 2013.
