Dia T. Bacon, R.N., CNE, works in St. John’s University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the Department of Nursing as a tenure-track Assistant Professor/Industry Professional (Fundamentals). Professor Bacon has nearly a decade of experience as a cardiology nurse in a top-rated New York City hospital. She is also a certified nurse educator pursuing her doctorate in Adult Education. 

The transition to education after being on the frontline during the pandemic has been both exciting and a welcomed opportunity to educate and mentor the next generation of nurses. Professor Bacon is experienced in teaching in the classroom, skills lab, simulation lab, and clinical setting. As a nurse who believes in lifelong learning, she enjoys being a member of numerous professional nursing organizations. She also seeks opportunities to attend conferences, workshops, and webinars, and read journals.
