I began my teaching career as a NYC Bilingual educator, teaching Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies in Spanish to students in grades 6, 7 and 8. After becoming District Bilingual Coordinator, I moved on to the position of Assistant Principal, finally opening a new elementary school in Corona, where I assumed the role of Principal. I was later selected to become the Network Leader, responsible for the instructional development of twenty schools in Districts 24 and 30 before joining the faculty at St. John's University.
