The Collins College of Professional Studies offers pathways allowing undergraduate students to complete graduate-level coursework. Undergraduate students pursuing a pathway may apply up to 12 credits of graduate course work as part of their undergraduate degrees, upon consultation with an advisor. Assuming good academic standing, matriculation into the appropriate graduate program is seamless upon completion of the undergraduate degree. Pathway students must immediately matriculate into the indicated master’s program upon completing the bachelor’s degree. (Should a student decide to leave SJU and return, these graduate credits will not apply to the graduate degree)
Students in pathways receive their bachelor’s degrees once the undergraduate requirements are completed and receive their master’s degrees once the graduate requirements are completed.
Admission
Students interested in pathways should speak to their undergraduate dean to determine eligibility. Applicants to graduate pathways will be expected to demonstrate their ability to meet the entrance requirements:
Completion of:
- A minimum of 60 cumulative credits with a cumulative SJU grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0
- A minimum of 12 major credits completed at SJU with a major GPA of at least 3.5
