Irene supports the Vice Provosts, Associate Provosts and is the Recording Secretary of the University Personnel Committee & University Senate.
Profile
After graduating from the College of Business at St. John's University, working in the trust department of several banks, and raising a family, Irene returned to St. John’s in 2004. She spent one year in the Speech & Hearing Center, and five years in the Office of Business Affairs. She has been Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Provost since August 2010.
Irene was co-chair of the Triangle Centenary Celebration in 2011. She is a graduate of the Vincentian Mission Certificate Program. In the spirit of the Vincentian Mission Irene is a team leader for Service Day, participated in the Good Friday Walk for the Homeless, and acts as a mentor to students in the VITAL program.
In the Fall of 2012 Irene became a mentor in the SAFE (Student Faculty and Engagement) Program. This program began with faculty as mentors and has now been extended to include other staff and administrators at St. John's.
Irene was recognized by President Gempesaw in May 2015 with an outstanding Achievement Award.
