(QUEENS, NY – September 3, 2024) – First-year and returning students and their families gathered at St. John’s University over Labor Day weekend for the University’s annual Move-In Weekend. The Fall 2024 entering class features resident students who come from 44 US states and 43 international countries. New and returning students joined others from around the world in moving into the Residence Village on the Queens, NY, campus throughout the weekend.

This year marks 25 years since St. John’s first opened residence halls in Queens, transforming the historically local, commuter campus to a 24/7 operation with national and global reach.

“We’re excited to welcome the next generation of Johnnies to the Queens campus,” said Jason T. Bartlett, Ph.D., Director, Office of Residence Life. “Move-In Weekend at St. John’s is always a busy and exciting time when the entire University community comes out in force to welcome new and returning students to campus and start this chapter of their St. John’s story.”

The fall semester of the University’s 155th academic year begins on Wednesday, September 4.

Included in the Fall 2024 incoming class is the third class of St. John’s University’s Nursing students, who this year will attend classes in the new $106 million, 70,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art St. Vincent Health Sciences Center, which will be formally dedicated on September 18 and be the permanent home of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
