Scope

This policy applies to all staff, administrators, faculty and student workers who are employed on any New York campus of the University.

Policy

The University provides up to 30 minutes of paid break time for employees who need to express breast milk for a nursing child during the workday. Employees who need additional time beyond 30 minutes may use existing paid break or mealtime each time they have a reasonable need to express breast milk for up to three years following childbirth.
