(QUEENS, NY, May 4, 2026) — St. John’s University has launched St. John’s Online, a new division offering fully accredited degree programs built for students who have jobs, families, and responsibilities that do not stop when classes start. With nine programs available now and a roadmap to 21 online degree programs by Fall 2029, St. John’s Online extends the University’s 156-year academic legacy to students worldwide.

The launch reflects St. John’s longstanding Vincentian mission, rooted in compassion, justice, and service to those who need it most. St. John’s Online is designed for students who want to pursue a degree but cannot make the traditional model work, whether because of the commute, a fixed class schedule, or the demands of an already full life.

“Student success is our number one priority, and we constantly strive to increase opportunities for students and to meet their needs,” said Simon G. Møller, Ph.D., Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. “With the launch of St. John’s Online, students can pursue academic programs with unparalleled flexibility, allowing them to balance their education with work and other commitments.”

“There are thousands of students who have the drive and the talent to earn a St. John’s degree but could not make the traditional model fit their lives,” said Michael Koskinen, Ed.D., Chief Online Learning Officer. “St. John’s Online changes that. With lower tuition rates and a fully flexible format, we remove barriers, make exceptional education more accessible, and ensure every student can succeed.”

A Degree Built Around Real Life

Programs span high-demand fields including business, cybersecurity, data analytics, education, and public service, and technology. Courses are taught by St. John’s faculty and work with instructional designers who understand how adults learn, so the coursework is rigorous, practical, and connected to real career outcomes.

Courses are taught synchronously and asynchronously, with some programs available in half-term modules for maximum flexibility. Every student is supported from enrollment through graduation by dedicated success coaches and faculty invested in their progress.

St. John’s Online provides the highest level of education at the best possible value, setting the pathway to a more prosperous future. Investing in an undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree at St. John’s Online helps students prepare for ongoing success.
