St. John's Alumni Volunteers
Interested in volunteering with the Office of Alumni Relations? Help us find a meaningful volunteer opportunity or position for you!
Black Alumni Association
The Black Alumni Association (BAA) is dedicated to the pursuit of social empowerment by responding to the professional and personal growth of the St. John’s alumni community. Founded in 1989 by Phyllis C. Bell ’75C, ’79G, the Association also strives to promote the Vincentian mission in all of its endeavors.
Black Alumni Association 90s Collective
The BAA 90s Collective was established in 2014 as a forum for Black alumni who attended St. John’s during the 1990s, along with classmates, faculty, and staff members who supported them. The group allows members to reminisce, share current accomplishments, promote 90s Collective gatherings, and serve as a catalyst for future collaborations with the St. John's community.
GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade)
Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) is an affinity group open to all alumni who have graduated from St. John’s University within the last ten years. GOLD serves as an outlet for recent graduates to connect with one another in an environment that fosters career advancement, network expansion, and philanthropic awareness.
Hispanic and Latina/o Alumni Chapter
The Hispanic and Latina/o Alumni Chapter is dedicated to empowering alumni and future alumni both academically and professionally.
Lewis Avenue Alumni
St. John’s University was established in 1870 in a small farmhouse in Brooklyn. That early location evolved into the Lewis Avenue campus, located at the intersection of Lewis Avenue and Willoughby Avenues. Alumni from this cherished former location remain an integral part of St. John’s today. Lewis Avenue Alumni have a reunion every year during Reunion Weekend in April.
Notre Dame College Alumnae
Notre Dame College served the community as a premier women’s college for nearly 40 years. During the 1960s, when it became difficult for small colleges to survive, Notre Dame College became a part of St. John’s University, thus establishing the Staten Island campus in 1971. Since that time, the Notre Dame College Alumnae have kept the legacy of their beloved institution alive and well on the Staten Island campus through the Sr. Helen Flynn Scholarship.
President’s Society Alumni Chapter
Our President’s Society alumni are amongst an exclusive and prestigious group of former students who were part of St. John’s University’s highest honor society. Founded in 1968, there are just over 1000 Johnnies who have earned the opportunity to be part of this distinguished honor. We deeply value your contributions, participation, and leadership throughout the years and invite members to keep connected through this chapter.
Regional Chapters
Want to stay connected to St. John’s University even if you are far away from campus? St. John’s University alumni are everywhere and there may be an event or program in your area. You can even assist with coordinating alumni engagement opportunities near you.
Schermerhorn Street Alumni
Our former campus on Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn opened in 1929 and closed its doors in 1972. Its alumni are still a vital part of the St. John’s community, and through this special affinity, they remain close to the University and to each other.
Tobin Alumni Association
All graduates of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business are automatically members of the Tobin Alumni Association (TAA) - an organization dedicated to promoting unity among Tobin graduates and encouraging a continued relationship with St. John's University.
Legacy Families
What’s better than having one Johnny in your family? Having multiple! We celebrate all our legacy families year-round through specific scholarships for legacy students and invite legacy families to be part of our Family Weekend every fall. We encourage you to tell us about your legacy family by filling out the link below and sending us photos of your family rocking the red, no matter where in the world you may be.

Remember packing Madison Square Garden for basketball games and welcoming the President of the United States, Ronald Reagan on campus? Pioneers of several initiatives and programs that are still very much a part of the student experience today, our 80’s graduates are some of the proudest and we want to hear from you.
