It's Oktoberfest time and St. John's is celebrating both in-person and virtually! Join us to celebrate during this year's Homecoming festivities.

Virtual Oktoberfest Beer Tasting

Join us virtually for Oktoberfest during this year's Homecoming festivities. 

We are excited to offer this event in a hybrid format, allowing alumni to join us in-person at Flagship or virtually from the comfort of your own homes. All New York alumni are welcome to join us virtually for a beer tasting and brewery tour, which will be hosted live at the Flagship Brewing Company in Staten Island.

Red Storm Homecoming Parade

Celebrate the kickoff of our first annual Homecoming Weekend at the Red Storm Parade. Join us as we parade along the roads within campus. 

Alumni, students, schools/colleges, departments/areas, and the University community are welcome to partake in the celebration or to be a viewer. If you or your group will join us as a participant, we encourage you to bring your Johnny spirit by decorating your car or parading with a banner.

Red Storm Tip-Off

Red Storm Tip-Off is the unofficial start of the St. John's Basketball season.  This is the opening event to an exciting season for Men's and Women's Basketball under the leadership of Coach Mike Anderson and Coach Joe Tartamella.

Join baseball alumni and friends for an inters quad game during Homecoming Weekend at Kaiser Stadium.

Join fencing alumni and friends for an alumni fencing meet and a reception during Homecoming Weekend.  Coach Yury Gelman will coach the alumni team to victory!

Reunite on the courts where we represented the red and white. Head women's tennis coach, Lauren Leo and head men's tennis coach,  Dillon Pottish will be on hand to organize a round robin tournament.

Alumni will gather with former head coach Jim Hurt at a reception where we will celebrate his  long career as head coach. Hurt will be enshrined into the Athletics Hall of Fame on the same day, during the University's Homecoming Weekend.

Join us in the magnificent D'Angelo Center Living Room with its large fireplace, spanning windows, and outdoor patio. Make sure to stop over on the fourth floor to take in the stunning view of the Manhattan skyline on this beautiful autumn afternoon.

Join your fellow Johnnies for the historic dedication of the Lou Carnesecca Statue in honor of our beloved and legendary Hall of Fame coach.  Celebrate with the “Who’s Who” of St. John’s Basketball dignitaries and gather together to pay homage to the one we call "Coach."

Athletics Hall of Fame

This year’s class is headlined by 17-year NBA veteran and current ESPN/ABC commentator Mark Jackson. The list of honorees also includes baseball standout Ralph Addonizio, men’s soccer All-American Kevin Daly, men’s basketball star Joe DePre, long-time Track & Field/Cross Country coach Jim Hurt, three-time football All-American Todd Jamison, two-time BIG EAST Women’s Golf Champion Harin Lee, women’s basketball All-American Shenneika Smith and three-time fencing Olympian Dagmara Wozniak.

Alumni and Community Mass

Join us in prayer at the Homecoming Alumni and Community Mass at St. Thomas More Church. Sunday wraps up the first annual Homecoming weekend with fellow alumni, students, and friends.

Lacrosse Alumni Event

Reunite on the field where we represented the red and white. Coach Jason Miller will host an alumni game followed by a Steak Hotdog Game for the current team. This will be followed by a social event for alumni and parents.

Brooklyn Reunion

Join us to celebrate Lewis Avenue and Schermerhorn Street alumni and exchange stories with former classmates about your cherished former Brooklyn campuses. This reunion will be comprised of a Mass followed by brunch at the new Hilton Brooklyn New York Hotel located in Boerum Hill, right by 96 Schermerhorn Street. The hotel where our brunch takes place is the location of the former rope factory in the 19th Century.

Winter Coat and Clothing Drive

The Office of Alumni Relations and the Mission Office are hosting a Winter Coat and Clothing Drive for St. John the Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. We are looking to collect coats as they are primarily needed for babies and adults, especially as the winter draws near. Scarves, hats, and gloves are also welcome. Items can be new or gently used.

Make sure to stock up on St. John's swag while enjoying Homecoming! The St. John’s University Bookstore will be open throughout the weekend so you can get your favorite red and white gear and wear them with pride.
