The School of Education held its Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education celebration on Friday, May 5th, on the Queens Campus. The event was a resounding success as the KDP graduating members were presented with honor cords to be worn at their upcoming graduation.
In addition, the graduating executive board members were also honored with a graduation stole and medal, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the honor society. The KDP graduates honored at this event included undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.
The event also hosted its inaugural "Bring a Book, Take a Book" event, which proved to be a remarkable experience. Jordan González, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of TESOL & Bilingual Education, said, "Participants enthusiastically exchanged books that profoundly impacted their lives, fostering a sense of community among KDP members, St. John's University faculty, and alumni."
Joining this special occasion was Yvonne Pratt-Johnson, Ed.D., Professor of Education Specialties, along with Dean's Advisory Board members Vincent Maita and Anna Maria Montuori.
