“Education is one thing no one can take away from you.” This quote by Elin Nordegren fuels my belief and actions regarding my educational pursuits.
I desired a graduate-level degree in International Hospitality Management to obtain the knowledge and skills to thrive as a professional. Additionally, this degree allows me to continue to be the standard-bearer for my family while serving as an example for the soldiers under my tutelage in the US Army. My parents migrated to the United States for better opportunities. I feel a sense of responsibility to further my education by taking advantage of available opportunities.
I am earning the Master of Science degree in International Hospitality Management to gain better opportunities in the hospitality sector. I strive to utilize this degree alongside my chef training diploma.
The Master of Science in International Hospitality Management gives me skills to excel. I have provided service to soldiers numbering in the hundreds. In addition, I have worked with other populations such as civilians and family members. I have coordinated events to assist families with retirement services. Lastly, I have coordinated employee events to boost morale, fundraisers to support semiannual holiday parties, and barbecues hosted by family and friends.
I have the upmost confidence that earning the Master of Science degree in International Hospitality Management at St. John’s University will provide me with the knowledge and resources to be successful.
