SJU Expands Graduate Offerings

St. John’s University is preparing students for greater career opportunities through the launch of new graduate programs that put advanced education within reach for working adults.

In response to emerging professions in a changing world, graduate students can now benefit from an online Ph.D. in Literacy (The School of Education); an online Advanced Certificate in Management for Information Professionals (St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences); and an online Master of Business Administration (The Peter J. Tobin College of Business).

St. John’s also has relaunched the online Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Leadership (College of Professional Studies) to provide greater flexibility to working professionals in a growing field.

“The online program market has become much more competitive in recent years, which means we must continue to deliver online graduate programs of superior quality,” said Elizabeth Ciabocchi, Ed.D., Vice Provost for Digital Learning and Executive Director of Online Learning and Services. “These online programs are all great examples of how working professionals can have access to high-quality curricula, expert faculty, flexible learning environments, and career-advancing knowledge and skills.”

In addition, the University has added a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology with a Bilingual Extension (St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). The job market often demands that professionals excel in an increasingly diverse society, making this program essential for students in the field.

For those who already possess a master’s degree in theology or a related field, St. John’s College is offering an advanced certificate program for extended, specialized graduate study in theological education. Students can complete their advanced certificate completely online or through a combination of online and in-person courses on the Queens, NY, campus.
