Graduating Seniors Reflect on College Experience Marked by Pandemic
In Fall 2020, amid the pandemic, St. John’s University welcomed a new class of Johnnies—more than 2,000 first-year students whose college experience would be unlike any class before them. Their perseverance amid adversity showcased their determination and ability to overcome obstacles with resilience. We caught up with some of them as they reminisced about their distinct college journey and the wisdom they gained over the past four years.
U.S. News & World Report Rankings Jump for St. John’s Online Programs
In newly released rankings by U.S. News & World Report, online degree programs in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business and The Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies (CCPS) at St. John’s University both saw increases.

Tobin College Undergraduates Secure First Place at Federal Reserve College Challenge
A team of undergraduate Tobin College of Business students took first place at the Federal Reserve Bank’s National College Fed Challenge final competition, representing St. John’s University on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Service-Learning Project Draws Students to Tobin College of Business
The Difference Makers program will conclude on December 5, 2016 with a reception and certificate presentation on St. John’s Staten Island campus.
St. John’s Receives Edison Bowers Award
Students from the Alpha Iota chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma represented The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, receiving the Edison L. Bowers Award for the first time in the chapter's 25 year history.
Beta Alpha Psi Chapter Wins Two National Awards
Students from Beta Alpha Psi, the accounting and finance honor society, from the Staten Island campus won two Best Practices awards at the National Conference in Baltimore, MD on August 6, 2016. One team won first place in the “Good or Great” competition, while the second team won third place in the “Alignment of Officer Activities” competition. The competition is sponsored by Deloitte.
