Dina M. Anzalone, Ed. D.'14 was recently appointed by the Hewlett-Woodmere Board of Education to succeed Ralph Marino Jr. as the next Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Anzalone, who earned her Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership from the School of Education at St. John's University, will take office July 1, 2025.
We caught up with Dr. Anzalone to inquire what this next step means to her, and what the vision looks like for her as the next superintendent of the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools district. To this she replied:
“Taking on the role of superintendent in Hewlett-Woodmere is both an honor and a tremendous responsibility. My vision centers on innovation and community—ensuring every student has access to rigorous learning opportunities while fostering the collaborative spirit that makes our schools special. I'm not just preparing students for tests, but for life, developing confident, compassionate young people ready to contribute meaningfully to our world.”
Congratulations Dr. Anzalone on this great achievement!
