
Heidi Upton, DMA, Associate Professor, Institute for Core Studies and Department of Art and Design, has been selected for the Stevens Initiative’s Fall 2024 Breakouts campaign. Dr. Upton is also a fellow in the St. John’s Global Online Learning Exchange (GOLE).
The Breakouts campaign is a collection of multimedia projects designed to illustrate virtual exchange as a tool to advance the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a way that is understandable and inspiring.
As a St. John’s GOLE veteran, Dr. Upton has led GOLE courses with international partners from Manchester School of Architecture; Manchester Metropolitan University; Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany; and VID Specialized University, Norway. With her VID Specialized University faculty partner, Dr. Upton also partook in a year-long professional development program as part of the Norwegian Panorama Virtual Exchange/Collaborative Online International Learning Partnerships Initiative and the American Association of Colleges and Universities Institute on Virtual Exchange/Collaborative Online International Learning.
