The College of Professional Studies in collaboration with the Veterans Success Center conducted the first ever "Salute to our Veterans" concert. The concert featured the musical duo of John Martelli (Gigs) and our very own Assistant Dean Randolph D.J. Ortiz. The event was attended by over 250 people and featured music from the 40s through the 70s. The event was developed as a way to support our student veterans at St. John's. The event fundraised $1,385 which was donated to the Student Veterans Associations of St. John's University.
The Check was presented to the association by Dr. Katia Passerini, Dean of the College of Professional Studies, Randolph Ortiz, Assistant Dean, College of Professional Studies and Mary H. Pelkowski, Associate Dean of Student Engagement, Director of the Student Veteran Success Center
