Excerpt:
State Supreme Court Justice Patricia DiMango is going to Hollywood.
DiMango, who was appointed three weeks ago as the administrative judge for criminal matters in Brooklyn, will star in "Hot Bench," a syndicated show created by Judith Sheindlin, better known as television personality "Judge Judy."
DiMango and two Los Angeles-based attorneys will form the "hot bench," hearing cases, arguing their merits and then rendering verdicts on camera. A "hot bench" refers to a panel of judges who actively question lawyers and litigants during court proceedings.
