- Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2024: The Road to Your Debut
In recognition of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APHM), St. John’s University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) has organized several events on both the Queens and Staten Island, NY, campuses throughout April.
APHM is celebrated nationally in May. This month pays tribute to and honors the rich and diverse cultures, legacy, traditions, histories, and contributions made by Asian and Pacific Islander individuals and communities.
This year, we honor the Asian and Pacific Islander community through our theme, “The Road to Your Debut.”Inspired bythe traditional Filipino coming-of-age ceremony and Korean Pop debut culture, this year’s theme invites you to explore how to prepare for your own entrance into the spotlight. Whether it is taking care of your mental health, setting intentions through artistic ceremonies, nourishing your spirit through food and more, APHM 2024 is here to help you prepare for your debut at St. John’s and beyond!
