NYC - St. John's University was mentioned on July 30's Today Show as MBA graduate student Baffour Adusei shared the impact of his local Boys & Girls Club on his future success. NBC's Carson Daly asked Adusei about how the program contributed to his college pathway.

"If it wasn't for the Kips Bay club, I wouldn't be able to have received a full scholarship. They gave me a full ride. They gave me a head start. So now I'm in the MBA program at St. John's for Marketing."

Jim Clark, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Club, shared that the rate of post-secondary education for young people participating in their programs is triple the national average. Adusei attended SUNY Oswego, completing his undergraduate business administration degree before joining St. John's University's Peter J. Tobin College of Business in 2024.

The Boys & Girls Club offers over 5,500 after-school and summer camp programs across the country to children, many of whom wouldn't otherwise have access. To support the Boys & Girls Club please visit their website.
