The Peter J. Tobin College of Business celebrated its first year as a University Chapter of the American Marketing Association in April with the induction of three marketing students into the AMA’s national honor society, Alpha Mu Alpha.

The three students -- Angelica N. Cruz, Gabrielle M. Mineo and Adry Quezada – applied for the Alpha Mu Alpha Honor Society recognition and were awarded membership in the society on account of their superior achievements during their courses of study.

“The AMA recognizes the superior academic accomplishments of students majoring in marketing with membership in its national honor society,” said Marketing Instructor George Maggiore, the faculty mentor to the University’s AMA chapter and the Tobin College of Business Marketing Club, responsibilities he shares with Assistant Professor of Marketing Daniel Rubin. “Dan and I, as well as the rest of the Tobin marketing faculty, are extremely proud of Angelica, Gabrielle and Adry, and we wish them great success as they pursue their marketing careers."

Maggiore also has a personal connection to the honorees, having taught Mineo in her introductory course, Principles of Marketing.

The students were presented with their induction awards by Dean Norean Sharpe at a ceremony on May 10.
