CIT Honors Alum Peter J. Tobin through Scholarship at Tobin College of Business

April 27, 2017

On April 17, 2017, the Board of Directors of the financial holding company CIT announced a $30,000 scholarship gift to St. John’s University in the name of outgoing and long-serving CIT Board of Director Peter J. Tobin ’65CBA, ’96HON.

The scholarship gift from CIT will be directed to students of high financial need enrolled in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business.  Over the course of five decades of involvement with St. John’s—as a student, alumnus, Dean, and benefactor—Mr. Tobin made a lasting impact through his loyalty and service to St. John’s University.  The scholarship, in his name, will provide financial resources to support future student success.
