Abraham Stefanidis, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Management, was recognized during the 76th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Anaheim, California for his co-authored paper entitled “Germanic vs Turkic Negotiators’ Ethical Propensity and Formal Contracts: The Moderating Role of Trust” that took second place at the 2016 Carolyn Dexter Awards.
According to the Academy of Management: “The Carolyn Dexter Award is an all-Academy award given to the paper that best meets the objective of internationalizing the Academy of Management. Papers are considered for this prestigious award if they offer new insights, are rich in observation and employ creative methodologies.”
Dr. Stefanidis co-authored the winning paper with Moshe Banai, Ph.D (USA), Ana Shetach, Ph.D. (Israel), Ursula Schinzel, Ph.D. (Luxembourg), Svetlana Shakirova, Ph.D. (Kazakhstan), Herbert Goelzner, Ph.D. (Austria), Ahmet Erkus, Ph.D. (Turkey) and Mehmet Ferhat Özbek, Ph.D. (Turkey).
