January 21, 2016

Beginning in February 2016, Conrado “Bobby” Gempesaw, Ph.D., president, will host a new television talk show on the Telecare Catholic Network.

The series, Sharing Knowledge: Presented by St. John’s University, will examine topical issues of interest to a broad audience. In each program, Dr. Gempesaw will moderate a discussion featuring experts, including St. John’s faculty, with insight on the topic.

The program will debut with the show “Catholic Religious Vocations: Prospects for the Future,” featuring Fr. Thomas Gaunt, S.J., Ph.D., executive director, Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) at Georgetown University, and Bishop Robert Brennan, Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY, an alumnus of St. John’s. The second show will explore “Shaping the Future of Education.” The guests will be Jeanne Shannon, a St. John’s alumna and assistant principal, St. Elizabeth Catholic Academy in Ozone Park, NY, and Sharon See, Ph.D., professor of clinical health sciences in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at St. John’s.

For more than 40 years, Telecare has provided millions of viewers with high-quality, values-oriented Catholic programming broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
